You’ll get the lowdown on materials, paint, additives – even learn how to make stencils so that any creative vision can be transferred directly onto your kicks. Course Breakdown:
Day One: This day is an exciting exploration into the creative possibilities of shoe design!
1. We’ll get to know some amazing artists transforming shoes with their artwork.
2. Learn about materials and techniques for restoring/cleaning and painting shoes.
3. Begin to prepare, restore or clean your shoes so you can start masking them with tape.
4. Brainstorm your own ideas that fit the shape of each shoe then plan out how it'll come together.
5. We will prime up a base coat before transferring images or making stencils – ready to be part of your unique designs.
Day two: Let's dive deep into the world of shoe transformation!
1. Most of the day you’ll be transforming your shoes into works of art.
2. We’ll be tackling color theory and mixing paints, so your design is vibrant with personality.
3. We’ll make sure to give your creations some dry-time for optimal results.
4. We’ll also share some tips on how best to protect them after they’ve been painted.
5. Since every custom shoe deserves its value, learn some tips on pricing and selling customization.
6. A workshop handout will review all materials needed as well as provide extra insight when time comes to work from home.
Get geared up; it's time to paint some serious magic!
Requirements: This course is for any person at any level interested in learning what materials and how to customize shoes. If you already have experience in working with paints and colors, it will be very useful when applying paint and creating your own designs. The student will need to provide their own shoes, think restore before new but if you will buy them better if they are of a white base and have empty areas from logos to paint (ex. Adidas all stars white, Nike Force 1 white, vans or many others) Some work prior to the course will be sent to student beforehand to prepare for course.

Will I need to bring my own shoes?
Yes, we will provide everything else you’ll need during the course.
Will I need to prepare anything before the course?
Yes, you will be sent some information on how to clean your shoes at home so they can dry up before the course. You are also encouraged to bring some ideas already in mind to paint on your kicks. You will receive an e-mail with all that information once you have signed up to the course.
I do not know what shoe to choose, will you help us?
Of course, once we are getting closer to the date the instructor will contact you to help you choose the best shoe for the course.
Will there be a lunch break?
Yes, this course is set as an intensive two days with loads of information with an hour of lunch break in between.
Will I take home the materials you provide in the course?
No, the materials are for you to work during the course, although you will be given a handout with all the materials used and what you can buy to start creating your own shoes.
I do not know how to draw, can I still join the course?
Yes, during the class the teacher will have some stencils and drawings in handy for you to use.
Do I need to buy new shoes for the course?
Not necessarily, we encourage you to give a new life to your older shoes or choose to buy new ones.

Learn the how to’s of pigments, dyes and add loads more materials like glitter, beads or dried flowers. By the end you’ll have an impressive catalogue full up unique models crafted though your own molds.
Day One:
1. Learn who is doing what in the world of resin. Learn about creating artworks with resin and silicon molds.
2. Study the different types of silicon we will be using in the course and other special mentions.
3. Safety techniques and tools for silicon.
4. Understanding how a mold is constructed and the mold making requirements. During this time we will evaluate the student objects for a well constructed mold.
5. Preparation of the model to be molded.
6. Creation of different types of mold boxes.
7. Mixing and preparing the work area for silicon preparation.
8. Pouring of liquid silicon mold.
9. Learn the benefits of a two-part silicon putty.
10. Create the mold of the two-part silicon putty.
11. De-molding and cleaning of mold for later work.
Day Two:
1. Study the different types of resin we will be using in the course and other special mentions.

3. Learn the different dying processes for resin.
4. Preparing the mold to be casted.

En este taller de tres días, los estudiantes aprenderán a usar una combinación de materiales reciclados, pasta StoneArt, pinturas acrílicas, marcadores, papel, hilos y objetos encontrados, etc., para crear su propia escultura de muñeca de medios mixtos. Se discutirán temas como diseño, composición y construcción de estructuras.

No se necesita experiencia en escultura/dibujo/pintura.

Trabajar el barro puede ser otra forma de meditación, en este curso, aprende a modelar y esmaltar cerámica desde cero, creando unas piezas con barro crudo y otras con barro cocido.
Aprende las sutiles diferencias entre la arcilla horneada y la arcilla seca al aire, así como también cómo hacer moldes de yeso que puedes reutilizar para crear un número infinito de piezas en proyectos futuros.
