At Miami International Fine Arts, we believe that art has the power to transform individuals and communities. Our vision is to create a world where art is valued and accessible to all.
We offer a variety of programs for artists of all ages and skill levels. From workshops and classes to artist residencies and exhibitions, we have something for everyone.
Art leads children to think about themselves as individuals within their environment, building skills for achievement, discipline, independence, self-confidence, and awareness of a sense of beauty in the world and in others.
Although the artistic expression is natural in childhood, this is awakening special interest in some more than in others. When a boy or girl shows greater and special interest in the world of ART and intuits that it may be their path and, above all, their language of expression, early accompaniment and training stimulate and enhance the development of their talent.
PAINTING AND DRAWING
As elementary means of human expression, drawing and painting become a language that reaffirms and enhances knowledge of the world and the inner self. We will explore techniques such as acrylic, watercolor, tempera, inks, and natural pigments. In the drawing, we will explore, in addition to the graphite pencil, colored pencils, charcoal, sanguine, and pastel chalk. Both are applied to different techniques such as the creation of textures, gradients, transparency, and overlapping, among others.
Drawing and painting strengthen gestures and plastic expression - Fine and gross motor skills - Mastery of techniques such as construction, composition, and framing - Game and Discovery
THEATER AND PUPPETS
Children will learn pre-expressive techniques, vocal construction, character creation, elaboration of stories and script, and finally group staging. By involving the senses and the body as expressive means, theater and puppets benefit to name a few, modulation, vocalization, projection of the voice, corporeality, posture, stage presence, gestures, and memory. Also, and no less important, the affirmation of self-confidence, and recognition of self and others.
Theater and puppets improve language, pronunciation, and voice projection. Help to body awareness, expressiveness, teamwork, and collective creation
PRINTMAKING
Design, discovery, and transformation of materials are qualities that describe the world of the hand print. We will explore techniques such as stamping, stenciling, and monotypes, using the resource of the reproduction of textures and shapes on paper to create unique and expressive artworks.
Printing strengthens artistic skills such as plastic configuration, exploration of materials, graphic gestures, precision, process tolerance, and discipline.
When a child shows remarkable and unique interest in the realm of art, they might be unveiling their destined path – a language of expression that resonates deeply within them. 🖌️ Our program acknowledges this early spark and aims to provide the perfect environment for young artists to flourish.
We understand that the journey to mastery starts from the very beginning. Our curriculum, guided by industry experts, introduces kids to advanced techniques and concepts at a level beyond their years. This sets the stage for a solid foundation that they can build upon as they grow.
Just as a young sapling needs care to grow into a mighty tree, young artists require guidance to reach their full potential. Our program isn't just about teaching art – it's about sowing the seeds of creativity, sparking a lifelong passion, and nurturing the talents that will shape their future.
