Calling Artists: Submit Your Work for MIFA’s 2026 Gallery Program
Miami’s art scene moves fast — too fast. Every week brings a new opening, a new fair, a new show. Yet in this endless cycle of novelty, true contemplation becomes a luxury.
At MIFA, we believe art deserves more than a passing glance.
For 2026, we invite artists, curators, and collectives to submit exhibition proposals that challenge the accelerated rhythm of the city and invite audiences to slow down, reflect, and reconnect.
Proposals will be reviewed by MIFA’s Curatorial Committee, which will select the most compelling projects to be included in the institution’s 2026 exhibition program.
Selected projects will occupy one of MIFA’s four exhibition halls — A, B, C, or D — each with distinct architectural qualities.
Floor plans and dimensions are available here:
We welcome:
• Solo or group exhibitions
• Curatorial or collaborative projects
• Interdisciplinary proposals that may include performance, installation, video, or sound
Selection criteria:
We value proposals that:
• Demonstrate strong conceptual and aesthetic coherence
• Encourage experimentation, dialogue, and reflection
• Represent diverse voices and perspectives
• Explore the relationship between art, community, and time
Important note:
MIFA is a collective space run by artists that does not operate through grants.
This is a curatorial selection process, not a production or funding program.
Projects must be self-managed and self-funded by the artists or curators.
MIFA does not cover installation, materials, transportation, insurance, or production costs.
Selected projects will be included in the official 2026 program, gaining professional visibility within Miami’s art circuit.
Submission requirements:
1. Project title and curatorial statement (max. 500 words)
2. Artist/curator bio(s) (max. 150 words each)
3. 5–10 images or video links of proposed or past works
4. Preferred exhibition hall (A, B, C, or D)
5. Optional: proposed public program or talk
Deadline: December 19th, 2025
Notification: January 2026
