Open call: August 10 – September 30, 2026
Miami International Fine Arts invites artists, curators, collectives, and cultural organizations to submit projects for inclusion in its 2027 exhibition program.
Exhibition period: January – December 2027 Deadline: Wednesday, September 30, 2026 · 11:59 PM Miami time
Miami International Fine Arts (MIFA) is a multidisciplinary arts center located between Doral and Miami Springs.Founded in 2018, MIFA began as a visual arts school and has grown organically into a comprehensive platform for the creation, training, research, and exhibition of contemporary art.MIFA currently brings together:
MIFA fosters a plural, critical, and interdisciplinary program developed in dialogue with artists, curators, educators, and local and international communities. The Art is Alive.
The MIFA 2027 Call for Exhibition Projects seeks to identify proposals capable of making a meaningful contribution to the institution's artistic program.
The open call welcomes individual, collective, curatorial, and interdisciplinary projects at different stages of development.
We are not only looking for finished exhibitions. We also welcome works in progress, site-specific projects, or proposals that need to be developed in relation to MIFA's architecture and community.
Each project will be evaluated on the basis of artistic quality, conceptual clarity, contemporary relevance, technical feasibility, and capacity to engage with the requested space.
Financial participation does not replace the curatorial process. Payment for a gallery space does not guarantee the selection of a proposal.
Only projects approved by MIFA's Artistic Director may formalize their participation and reserve a period within the 2027 calendar.
No application fee.
Participation fees apply only to selected projects

EXCEPTIONAL FINANCIAL CONSIDERATION
MIFA recognizes that a proposal of high artistic value is not always accompanied by the financial resources needed to cover the participation fee.
When an artist, curator, or collective is unable to cover the participation fee in full or in part, they must submit — alongside their exhibition proposal — a formal letter addressed to MIFA's Artistic Director.
The letter must explain:
The financial request will be evaluated confidentially and separately from the initial curatorial review.
Depending on its resources and operational capacity, MIFA may consider:
Submitting the letter does not guarantee approval of financial support.
Any exception will depend on:
MIFA does not currently have permanent sponsors or operating grants to cover selected exhibitions. The continuity of the space depends on the shared responsibility of the institution, the artists, the curators, and the community that makes each project possible.
COPYRIGHT AND IMAGE RIGHTS
By submitting a proposal, applicants confirm that they hold the necessary rights over all works, photographs, texts, and materials included.
Selected projects will authorize MIFA to use images, videos, texts, and exhibition documentation for the purposes of:
MIFA will credit all authors accordingly.
The intellectual property of the works will remain at all times with their respective authors.
